How to use HEIC to JPG

iPhones and some Android phones save photos as HEIC, a format that many websites, online forms and Windows PCs still won't open. PDFVelora converts each photo to a standard JPG at high quality and full resolution, turns it upright and keeps its EXIF data and colour profile. Questions about HEIC to JPG

Why can't I open HEIC files?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) has been the iPhone's default photo format since iOS 11. It takes less space than JPG, but many websites, forms and Windows PCs without the right extension can't display it. JPG opens on every device and in every app.

Will my photos lose quality?

Each photo is saved at its full resolution as a JPG with quality 90, a high setting where the difference from the original is hard to see. If you need a format that adds no compression of its own, use HEIC to PNG instead.

Are the date, camera details and location kept?

Yes. The EXIF data (capture date, camera settings and, if your phone recorded it, the GPS position) and the colour profile are copied into the JPG. To strip the location before sharing, run the JPG through Compress image, which removes metadata.

What happens with Live Photos and bursts?

A HEIC file can hold several pictures. The converter keeps the primary one, the picture your phone shows, and turns it upright according to its orientation tag. The video part of a Live Photo is a separate file and isn't converted.

Is converting HEIC to JPG free?

What happens to my photos after conversion?

Files are encrypted in transit and deleted automatically: after 2 hours for visitors and after 24 hours for account holders, unless you save them to My documents.
