How to use Markdown to PDF

PDFVelora renders your .md files as CommonMark, with tables and strikethrough, and prints them with a built-in stylesheet designed for paper: clear heading levels, shaded code blocks, bordered tables, quotes and clickable links. Choose A4 or US Letter, in portrait or landscape. A document written in Arabic is laid out right to left. Convert up to 20 files at once: each one becomes its own PDF, and several come back in one ZIP.

Questions about Markdown to PDF

Which Markdown syntax is supported?

Standard CommonMark (headings, emphasis, lists, links, images, quotes and code blocks) plus GitHub-style tables and strikethrough. Other extensions, such as footnotes or task lists, appear as plain text.

Is HTML inside my Markdown rendered?

No. For safety, raw HTML tags are shown as text instead of being rendered. To print a document that relies on HTML, use HTML to PDF.

Do the images in my Markdown appear in the PDF?

Images linked by a full web address (https://…) are downloaded and included. Images referenced by a path on your computer can't be found, because only the .md file is uploaded.

Does it work with Arabic and right-to-left text?

Yes. The stylesheet includes Arabic fonts, and a document that starts in Arabic is laid out right to left.

Is converting Markdown to PDF free?

Yes. Without an account you can run 3 tasks a day, and a free account gives you 5. Pro and Business plans have no daily limit.

What happens to my file after conversion?

Files are encrypted in transit and deleted automatically: after 2 hours for visitors and after 24 hours for account holders, unless you save them to My documents.
