How to use Word to PDF

PDFVelora converts DOC and DOCX files to PDF with LibreOffice, so the pages, headers and footers, tables, images and page breaks follow the original document. Common Microsoft fonts such as Calibri, Cambria, Arial and Times New Roman are replaced by metric-compatible equivalents when they aren't embedded, so lines keep their length. Add up to 20 documents at once: each one becomes its own PDF, and several come back together in one ZIP.

Questions about Word to PDF

Will the PDF look like my Word document?

In most cases, yes. Text, styles, headers and footers, tables, images and page breaks are converted. Fonts that aren't embedded in the file are replaced by similar ones, with same-width equivalents for Calibri, Cambria, Arial and Times New Roman.

Does it work with old .doc files?

Yes. Both the older .doc format used by Word 97–2003 and the current .docx format are accepted.

Can I convert several Word files at once?

Yes. Add up to 20 DOC or DOCX files. Each one becomes a separate PDF, and you download them together in a single ZIP file.

Can I convert a password-protected Word document?

No. A document that needs a password to open can't be converted. Remove the password in Word, convert the file, then lock the PDF with Protect PDF if needed.

Is converting Word to PDF free?

Yes. Without an account you can run 3 tasks a day, and a free account gives you 5. Pro and Business plans have no daily limit.

What happens to my file after conversion?

Files are encrypted in transit and deleted automatically: after 2 hours for visitors and after 24 hours for account holders, unless you save them to My documents.
