How to use Fill PDF form

When a PDF has fillable fields, PDFVelora finds them and tells you how many there are: click a field to type, tick checkboxes, choose radio buttons or pick from drop-down lists, with a date picker for date fields. Your answers go into the form's own fields, so they stay editable. Forms without fields, such as scanned paper forms, can be completed too: place text, dates and checkmarks anywhere on the page, sign, then export.

  1. Upload the form

    Drop the PDF form on the page or choose it from your device. It opens in the editor once uploaded.

  2. Fill in the fields

    Click each field to type or choose an answer. If the form has no fields, use Text, Date and Checkmark.

  3. Sign if needed

    Add your signature or initials: draw, type or upload them, then tap where they go.

  4. Export the completed PDF

    Review the form and click Export PDF to download it.

What if my PDF has no fillable fields?

Use the Text, Date and Checkmark tools to fill it in anywhere on the page. This works for scanned and printed forms too.

Will the fields still be editable after I fill them?

Yes. Your values are written into the PDF's own fields, which stay fillable. To lock the answers into the page, run the result through Flatten PDF.

Which kinds of fields are supported?

Text fields, date fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-down lists and list boxes. If a field won't accept a value, you're told how many were skipped and everything else is saved.

Can I sign the form as well?

Yes. Add a signature or initials with the Signature tool. If others have to sign the form too, send it with Request signatures.

Is filling PDF forms free?

Yes. Without an account you can run 3 tasks a day, and a free account gives you 5. Pro and Business plans have no daily limit.

What happens to my form after I fill it?

Files are encrypted in transit and deleted automatically: after 2 hours for visitors and after 24 hours for account holders, unless you save them to My documents.
