How to use Sign PDF
Sign a document without printing it. Draw your signature with a mouse, pen or finger, type your name in one of four handwriting styles, or upload a photo of your signature and make its white background transparent. Tap where it goes on the page, add your initials, the date or a checkmark where needed, then export the signed PDF. With an account you can save up to 10 signatures and initials and reuse them next time.

Questions about Sign PDF
Is a signature added this way legally valid?
Electronic signatures are widely recognised, for example under the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States and as simple electronic signatures under the EU eIDAS Regulation. Requirements vary by country and document, so check what applies to yours. Sign PDF adds your signature as an image; it doesn't add a certificate-based digital signature.
How do I get other people to sign?
Use Request signatures: you place fields for each signer, they get a personal link by email and sign without an account, and everyone receives the signed PDF with an audit trail.
Can I save my signature for next time?
Yes, when you're signed in. Tick Save to my profile and it appears under Saved the next time you sign. Your profile holds up to 10 signatures and initials.
Can I sign a scanned document?
Yes. Your signature goes wherever you tap, so it works on any page, including scans and photographed documents.
Is signing a PDF free?
Yes. Without an account you can run 3 tasks a day, and a free account gives you 5. Pro and Business plans have no daily limit.
What happens to my document after signing?
Files are encrypted in transit and deleted automatically: after 2 hours for visitors and after 24 hours for account holders, unless you save them to My documents.
