Terms of service

These terms of service ("terms") govern your use of PDFVelora (pdfvelora.com): its tools to convert, edit, sign and fill documents, its agreement templates and government forms, its AI tools and its paid plans. PDFVelora is operated by Amine AIT EL GHACHI ("we", "us"). By using PDFVelora, with or without an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy. Details about the publisher are in the legal notice.

Accounts and access

Using PDFVelora without an account

You can use most tools without an account, within a daily task limit. When you reach it, you're asked to sign in to continue. Some features need an account, including the AI tools, saving files to My documents, signature requests and paid plans.

Your account

You sign in with your email address (we send you a one-time code and a sign-in link) or with a Google account. Use an email address you control: it is how you sign in and how we contact you.

You are responsible for what happens through your account and for keeping access to your email account secure. Tell us at pdfvelora@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

To create an account or buy a plan, you must be legally able to enter into a contract where you live. If you use PDFVelora for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We send a confirmation link to your email address; once you open it and confirm, your account, your saved files, your signature requests and their documents, and your processing history are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone. A few records are kept as described in the privacy policy: anonymous usage counts, security log entries (without your IP address or browser) and support requests until their retention period ends. If you have a paid subscription, it is canceled when the account is deleted and you won't be charged again (see the refund policy). Before deleting your account, you can download your data from your account settings.

Plans, limits and fair use

PDFVelora offers a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Business). What each plan includes, and its current price, is shown on the pricing page. In particular:

  • Without an account, you can run 3 tasks per day.
  • The Free plan allows 5 tasks per day, with limits on file size, AI credits, transcription minutes, signature requests and storage.
  • Pro and Business have no daily task limit. Unlimited use is subject to fair use and to rate limits that protect the service for everyone. Business is billed per seat, with between 2 and 100 seats.
  • AI credits measure the use of the AI tools: each request uses credits according to its AI cost (1 credit corresponds to $0.01 of AI model cost). Your credits reset on the 1st of every month (UTC); unused credits don't carry over. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged for money.

Limits are enforced automatically: when you reach one, the action is refused until the limit resets, or until you upgrade or free up space.

Subscriptions and payment

Buying a plan

Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, paid in advance. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders: Paddle sells you the subscription, charges you, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues your receipts and invoices, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase. You can pay by card, PayPal or another method offered at checkout. Prices are listed in US dollars; at checkout, Paddle may show and charge the equivalent in your local currency, and taxes may apply. You see the exact amount before you pay. We don't receive or store your card or payment details. Discount codes may be accepted at checkout under the conditions stated with each code.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) at the price then in force, and the payment method on file is charged, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We email you 3 days before every renewal, monthly or yearly, with the date and the amount. Your Billing page always shows your next renewal date.

Changing plan or seats

You can change plan, billing interval or (on Business) the number of seats from the Billing page. You see what the change costs before confirming; it takes effect right away, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged at once, and an amount in your favour is kept as a credit for your next payments.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page, in one step. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep your plan until then, you aren't charged again, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Your saved files are not deleted because you change plan, but if they exceed the Free plan's storage you won't be able to save new files until you free up space.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it for a period of time and you keep your plan meanwhile. If the payment still can't be collected, the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.

Refunds

Because you keep access until the end of a period you cancel, payments already made are not refunded for unused time, except where the law requires otherwise or we agree to it. Nothing in these terms limits any right of withdrawal, refund or other remedy you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.

Our refund policy explains in more detail when we give refunds, how the right of withdrawal works and how to ask for a refund.

Business teams

The subscriber to a Business plan (the "owner") can give seats to other people by email. Each seat gives its holder the Business plan, with their own account and AI credits, for as long as the owner's subscription is paid and the seat fits within the number of seats bought; if the number of seats is reduced, the most recently given seats stop working first. The owner is responsible for the people they invite and for the content added to the team's shared space, and can remove members at any time.

Your files and content

You keep ownership

The files you upload and the documents you create with PDFVelora ("your content") remain yours. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process, convert, transmit and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you and to the people you choose to share it with, including through the service providers listed in our privacy policy. This licence ends when your content is deleted.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload and process your content, including any content you fetch through a link (for example a web page or a recording), and that doing so doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights.

How long we keep files

Files are deleted automatically:

  • uploads and results of visitors without an account, after 2 hours;
  • uploads and results of signed-in users, after 24 hours, unless you save them to My documents;
  • files saved to My documents are kept until you delete them or delete your account, within your plan's storage;
  • signature requests: signers have 30 days to sign once a request is sent; a finished request and its documents are kept for up to one year, and the owner can delete them earlier.

PDFVelora is not a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything important.

Sharing

You can share a saved file through a link, optionally protected by a password and with an expiry you choose (or until you turn it off). Anyone who has the link (and the password, if any) can download the file. You are responsible for who you share links with, and you can revoke a link at any time.

Malware scanning

Uploaded files may be automatically scanned for malware before they can be used. A file found to be infected, or that can't be scanned, is deleted and can't be processed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use PDFVelora to:

  • upload, create or share content that is illegal, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • upload or share malware or any file designed to harm the service, other users or their devices;
  • remove a password or protection from a PDF you aren't entitled to open: Unlock PDF only works with the file's correct password and must only be used on files you have the right to access;
  • forge signatures, impersonate someone, or send signature requests or shared links to deceive, harass or spam people;
  • get around plan limits, quotas or rate limits, for example by using several accounts or automated means (scripts, bots, scrapers) not offered by us;
  • probe, attack, overload or disrupt the service, or access data or accounts that aren't yours;
  • copy, resell or offer PDFVelora, or parts of it, as your own service without our written permission.

We may remove content, refuse a request or restrict an account that breaks these rules, as described under "Suspension and termination".

Electronic signatures

PDFVelora lets you sign documents yourself and send signature requests to other people, who sign without an account. Signers first agree to use electronic records and signatures. When everyone has signed, the completed PDF is sent to every party with an audit trail on its last pages (names, email addresses, IP addresses, browsers and the time of each step).

These are simple electronic signatures. They are not advanced or qualified electronic signatures within the meaning of the EU eIDAS Regulation, and they are not certified by a trust service provider. Electronic signatures are not suitable for every document: some documents need a handwritten signature, a witness, a notary or a qualified electronic signature. You are responsible for checking that an electronic signature is appropriate and valid for your document and the countries concerned, and for checking the identity of the people you ask to sign.

Agreement templates and government forms

Agreement templates are not legal advice. They are general information written for the United States, and laws vary by state and country. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have your document reviewed by a lawyer before you sign it.

Government forms in our forms library are official documents published by the agencies that issue them. Each form's page states its source and licence. PDFVelora is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for those agencies. PDFVelora helps you fill in a form, but it doesn't submit it for you: you review, sign and send it yourself, as the official instructions say. You are responsible for the information you enter, for using the current version of the form and for checking the official instructions. Nothing on PDFVelora is legal, tax or immigration advice.

AI features

The AI tools (such as Chat with PDF, summaries, translation and the writing assistant) use third-party AI providers, including Anthropic (Claude) and Voyage AI (to index documents for Chat with PDF). Each tool tells you, next to the button, what is sent and to which provider; nothing is sent before you click it. More details are in our privacy policy.

AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Check important details against your document before you rely on them, and don't use AI output as a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for how you use what the AI produces.

Third-party services

PDFVelora relies on third-party services (such as Paddle for payments, Google for sign-in and AI providers), whose own terms may apply. We aren't responsible for websites we link to but don't control, including the official sources of government forms.

Our intellectual property

PDFVelora, its software, design, texts, templates, logos and brand belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the right to use the service under these terms, you receive no rights in them. You may use the documents you create from our templates for your own purposes, personal or business.

Availability and changes to the service

We don't guarantee that PDFVelora will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time; we may interrupt it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.

We may change, add or remove features, tools and plans. If a change significantly reduces a paid plan you have already paid for, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel; where the law requires it, we will offer you a refund for the remaining period.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using PDFVelora at any time and delete your account as described above.

We may suspend or close your account, or restrict access to features, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if your use puts the service, other users or third parties at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you beforehand and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid account without cause on your part, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) continue to apply.

Disclaimers

PDFVelora is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, including about the accuracy of conversions, OCR, translations, transcriptions or AI output, or about the fitness of the service, a template or a form for a particular purpose. Check the results before you rely on them.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that the law gives you as a consumer and that can't be excluded or limited by contract.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity or data, arising from your use of PDFVelora, nor for losses caused by your content, by your breach of these terms, by the content of templates or forms you use, or by events beyond our reasonable control.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to PDFVelora is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that can't be limited or excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we change the service or when the law changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the service before it takes effect. If you keep using PDFVelora after the change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using the service and cancel your subscription.

Governing law and disputes

Governing law and competent courts: Moroccan law; the competent courts of Rabat, Morocco. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the problem amicably. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and the right to bring proceedings before its courts.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
